I just started using their google page creator www.googlepages.com and am working on settng up a whole new website with files and images included and it's free. Can you really earn money in a home based business?

It's been a long time since I visited my blog as you can see. Didn't really know what to use this for, what the purpose was. I've been reading a lot lately though how people use their blogs to bring traffic to their websites so I thought I'd give it a shot. Not sure what to do here, but I'm going to try and hope I succeed. I know I'll learn something along the way anyway.

Can you really earn money in a home based business?

Absolutely! The question though is not CAN you, it is WILL you. Will you do what you need to do to make money in a home based business?

Let me ask you a question.

Have you ever owned your own business before?

You see, the majority of people looking to make money from home have not ever owned a business before. And owning a business is very different than having a job. There is nothing hard about being self employed except maybe the fact that you MUST employ yourself. Are you ready for that?

If you've never owned a successful business working from home before, know this much up front. You've got some skills to learn to make the business successful. Just like any 6 figure income professional out there today, it took them time to learn, sometimes years to learn their trade to become the professional they are today. Problem is, too many people are looking for that 'get-rich-quick' deal and I'm telling you, it doesn't happen for anyone that way except those who are out to take your money.

If you're willing to invest your time in learning new skills, in developing yourself to be the professional you would need to be to earn the six figure income, then yes, you CAN earn money in a home based business just like everyone else that's done it and is doing it now.

The only reason why someone can't earn money working from home in a home based business is if they don't apply themselves, 110%. Ask anyone who's gone before you and you'll agree.

Can you really earn money

More on Network Marketing Opportunity

After I left the post below, I decided to do a search on google for "Network Marketing Opportunity" to see what other information and resources I can post here.

It just amazes me every time I start searching and reading the vast of views I come across related to the Network Marketing industry.

This brings me back to a story I've told before and I'm going to tell again.

First things first though.

Is everyone cut out for the Network Marketing industry? No way!

Just like, is everyone cut out to be a singer, song writer, author, electrician, grocery store checker, web page designer and what not?

You may desire to BE something but does simply having the desire mean you'll BE successful at it?
No way!

There was a time in our lives, or mine at least, when I too did not believe Network Marketing works. But, having been self employed for many years prior, I knew that the route we were taking wasn't getting us any closer to where we ultimately wanted to be.

And having seen the "circles" before, nothing I tried showed me the potential that those circles showed me.

What I've learned through the years is that
#1 - Although Network Marketing does work, no, it doesn't work for everyone.
#2 - While being self employed does work, no, it doesn't work for everyone.
#3 - While owning a franchised business does work, no, it doesn't work for everyone.

Why?

Who knows but it's my opinion, as Randy Gage says, that you were probably at the scene of every incident positive or negative in your life so maybe it is YOU!?

For 15 years we owned and operated our own Electrical Contracting business. For many years we worked this from our home and several times we moved the business out of our home into an office. We tried growing our business with more employees and even sunk $25,000 into opening an Electrical retail establishment as a side business to try to increase our income.

It seemed that every time we tried growing our business, we went backwards instead of forward. And more than once, we went broke and just didn't know if we could keep going. But faith told us we knew what we were doing and we were good at what we were doing so we got up one more time, we did the uncomfortable until it became comfortable, and we rebuilt our business once again.

After 15 years though, we realized that in "single level marketing" whereby the income depends soley on our individual efforts, we only had 24 hours in a day to produce work and of those 24 hours, we had to take some time to sleep and some for our kids. We never took vacations because if we did, we didn't get paid. And sick days, there wasn't such a thing.

We sold our soles to our Electrical Contracting business for the option of owning our own paycheck. And yes, our paycheck was nice but the trade off wasn't worth it.

I realized one day that it didn't matter how much money you make, if you're not healthy and happy enough to enjoy it, nothing else matters. It's not worth all the money in the world if you have to give up health and happiness. And that's why we decided to build a Network Marketing business on the side until it grew large enough to replace the income from our Electrical Contracting business.

Was it hard?
Sure it was.

Oh, you mean the Network Marketing business?
Yes, that was hard too but was it worth it?
Absolutely!

And I'll tell you what. We've had more people try to sway us, to provoke us into quitting by passing their negative thoughts and opinions our way and sometimes, we even considered accepting their opinions as truth because it was hard. But then, because our desire and faith were bigger, we knew that reading about the industry, about others, and learning would help get us back on track, back on purpose. And that's why we're here today.

We didn't get here by sure luck, it was determination, committment and 100% belief in our products that created 100% belief in our industry.

So, who do you listen to when you have doubts? That's totally your choice of course but, think about where you want to go before you decide who to listen to. I mean, when your teeth hurt, do you go to a friend or family member or to the dentist?

That brings me to the moral of this story.

Being an electrical contractor, starting in the contracting industry on just a paycheck and sure faith, falling several times and getting back up again, going through several closed doors and having others tell us we'll never make it, we did make it, and we're proud. It just makes me laugh every time someone would say "I see your trucks all over town" and all the while we only owned one truck!

There have been many other contractors in this town that have come and gone over the years and something I want you to think about.

If every Electrician knew the ups and downs and hard work and determination it took for us to build the business we built, and every one of them considering the business decided it doesn't work based on our bumps (failures), and no one decided to ever become an electrician based on our experience, well, I wouldn't be typing this on my computer right now because I would be living here without electricity.

Is this for everyone?
No, surely not the faint hearted or those who believe in negative opinions as truth.

What I learned since joining Network Marketing

I remember when I first got into the internet and computers. My sponsor at that time told me I was crazy and wasting my time getting online and learning about building webpages and that. My sponsor thought I should spend more time doing what I knew how to do and not worry about the internet.

That tells you how long I've been online anyway.

Long story short is, I didn't listen and instead followed my instincts. And I sure am glad I did.

Today I can say I feel quite comfortable getting around the internet and doing my network marketing business online as much as I do it offline but I have to say that what I've learned about building a network marketing business online didn't come just because I'm smart or lucky. No, not at all.

I learned what I know today (and am always learning) because I learned to follow those in the industry and online who are having success. I learned to listen to what they teach and to grab every opportunity to learn more. I learned to hang out where they hang out and take that "leap of faith" more than once to put myself where they are.

That's how I came here and why I started a blog.

I believe, just like I did when I started my network marketing business, that blogs are going to be the advertising medium of the internet, especially of those in the network marketing industry, and I think it's going to grow like a storm. What I like most about blogging too though is I feel like you get to know a person when you read their blog. You get to see what they're thinking, what they're doing, what they're willing to teach and share. You get to know their values, their likes and dislikes and you can feel their excitement when they are truly confident in something they are posting.

To me, Network Marketing is more than just a business or industry, it's a way of life. A network marketing business opportunity, when truly understood, will help you design a lifestyle, not just an income. Network marketing will transform you into the person you really are.

And for some, this is not always a nice person with values that you connect with. I know, been there, done that. But what I do know is there are hundreds of network marketers out there who really do want to teach you what they know. And they want to teach this not for the benefit of making money but for the benefit of the industry itself.

Because we, Professional Network Marketers, we understand what we have and we see the future, the people we are going to teach and touch. We know where this is going, just like we did the internet and blogging.

But we also know it's not going to be for everyone, just like the internet and blogging is not for everyone. And that's okay, as PNM's, we can accept that.
